Mark your calendars! The APS Annual Exhibition is set for April 4-29.  Sixteen photographers will display their work as we mark our 70th Anniversary year.  Location is the Alameda Museum and an Artists' Reception is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 10. Read and/or download flyer with all the details.

What we do

The Alameda Photographic Society meets semi-monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:30pm at 2441 San Jose Avenue in Alameda California. (Click here for Map.)  Second Tuesdays are Competition Meetings where Digital Images are critiqued by an an outside judge.  Fourth Tuesdays are Program Meetings. Visitors are always welcome at all meetings.

Winning Images in competitions are then entered into a regional competition where they are judged against the works of other Northern California Photographic Clubs.

We hold regular Field Trips and seminars related the art of photography.

Mission

The purpose of the Alameda Photographic Society is: to promote the art and science of photography in its various forms through the association of its members for study and entertainment; to encourage photographic contests and exhibitions; and to stimulate greater interest and advancement in the knowledge and practice of photography.
